Social Causes 2025

Service Rooted in Culture

Antorik – Bengali Organization of Greater Dallas believes that culture is not only something to celebrate, but something to share, protect, and use for the greater good. Through charitable initiatives, hands-on volunteering, and global outreach, Antorik community members actively work to uplift lives—locally and across borders. Every photograph in this presentation captures a moment of compassion, collaboration, and commitment.

Education Beyond Borders: SEVAA School Initiative

Antorik proudly supports the SEVAA School in Saparambera, Purulia, a project born from the belief that education can change lives. Opened in March 2025, the school provides:
  • Free education for rural children
  • Books, uniforms, and nutritious midday meals
  • Digital classrooms with dedicated teachers
  • Safe spaces for learning, play, and growth
With support from local villagers, Indian CSR partners, and global well-wishers, SEVAA School stands as a powerful example of what collective effort can achieve.
Looking ahead, Antorik continues to support plans for:
  • A student hostel for children from distant villages
  • Guest housing for teachers and visitors
  • Solar energy systems for sustainable, clean power

Charity and Volunteering Efforts

Antorik actively raises funds and provides support for causes that matter—both locally and internationally. Community events often serve a dual purpose: celebrating culture while giving back.
At Antorik, service means showing up and working together. Families, youth, and seniors come together, reinforcing the belief that meaningful change happens when everyone contributes. Volunteers of all ages participate in hands-on activities such as:
  • Food packing and distribution
  • Meal preparation and service
  • Community pantry support
  • Group volunteering projects
  • Emergency and need-based community relief efforts
  • at Feed My Starving Children
  • at Ronald McDonald House of Dallas
  • at Minnie’s Food Pantry
  • at Food & Toy collection drives

Youth Leadership and Community Engagement

Antorik strongly believes in nurturing the next generation of leaders. Children and teens are encouraged to:
  • Participate in volunteering activities
  • Help organize events
  • Lead cultural and service initiatives
Through these experiences, young members develop responsibility, empathy, leadership, and a deep connection to community values.

Culture With a Purpose

Cultural celebrations at Antorik are more than events—they are platforms for unity and outreach. Festivals such as Durga Puja, Mahalaya, Saraswati Puja, and Basanta Utsab bring the community together while supporting charitable causes.
Initiatives like:
  • Cultural performances and workshops
  • Publications and inter-generational programs help preserve heritage while strengthening social responsibility.
