What Students Learn

Age-appropriate instruction is offered in a classroom-like environment, covering:

  • Language & Literature: Bengali vocabulary, diction, and writing; key literary works and figures from Bengal.
  • Culture & Society: Traditions, social life, and contributions of great Bengali minds to the world.
  • Music: Regular lessons including Rabindra Sangeet and Nazrul Geeti taught by accomplished DFW vocalists.
  • Dance & Performance: Cultural dance, dramatic adaptations of Bengali literature, and poetry recitation.

The Bangla School also maintains a modest and growing library for enrichment and reference.

Students enjoy weekly mingling and snack time, building friendships and community spirit. Parents volunteer across teaching, coordination, and operations. The school follows an open-door policy and welcomes all who are interested in learning about Bengali culture and sharing ideas to improve curriculum and activities.
