We are a Bengali Association based in Dallas-Forth Worth dedicated towards cultivating, promoting and celebrating Bengali culture, and the cultures of India and Bangladesh in general, through various social and cultural events, and community activities.
Starting in 1999, during the last decade Antorik has created a Bangla School for the children of the community, and our very own Bengali magazine Stabak. We also launced Radio Antorik, the only Bengali radio program in North America.
Come join us, make great friends, celebrate your culture, and enrich your life. Come to the fun side!
Theme - Sonar Bangla: Once upon a time, in a faraway place, there was a beautiful land. Its people had a heart of gold.
The land blessed them with abundant harvest and spectacular seasonal varieties. Culturally, they
were the leaders and envy of their neighbors. Through centuries, this land – the "Sube Bangla"
lured fortune-seekers from all over the world. Following on the heels of last year's glorious Durgapuja celebration, we have chosen
Sonar Bangla to celebrate and showcase Bengal’s people, culture, and heritage at this
year's Durga Puja. We have a very exciting cultural program planned for this year which will include not only
local talent, but also top singers from Kolkata and Bollywood.
Sunday afternoons for Bengalis in Dallas are not the same any more. Radio Antorik, the only Bengali radio program in North America, brings to you all the melodies and flavors that radio entertainment can offer from back home right in the metroplex.
Please visit Facebook.com/Antorik for updates on our upcoming Radio programs.
The purpose of Antorik's Bangla school is to keep the children in the Bengali community of Dallas, who are growing up far from their parental roots in Bengal, acquainted with various aspects of Bengali language, arts, music, and culture.
